The Energy Saving Trust is to target council PROs as part of its
latest campaign to reduce CO2 emissions.
The government agency, established following the Rio Earth environmental
summit in 1992, aims to encourage local authorities to help promote this
year's energy efficiency week, which starts on 25 October.
Citigate Westminter has been taken on to handle the brief following a
pitch organised by the COI.
Citigate is tasked with launching a website at the end of this month. On
the site PROs can access media information about the week.
The aim of the week is to promote energy-saving in the home.
Part of Citigate's task is to liaise with housing associations.
Citigate managing director Adrian Roxon heads the account and reports to
EST community marketing manager Elizabeth Sanz.
Countrywide Porter Novelli will handle the consumer PR for the week.
