The Maitland Consultancy has appointed Duncan Campbell-Smith - a
former US correspondent for The Economist - to help firm-up its
international expertise as part of a continuing push into Europe.
Campbell-Smith, also a former Financial Times journalist and McKinsey
consultant, joins as a senior consultant from Pearson Education, where
he was SV-P of strategy.
He joined Pearson as director of public affairs in 1994.
The Maitland Consultancy's chairman Angus Maitland said Campbell-Smith
was not joining to work for particular clients, but that his
international experience would be particularly useful to the group.
Maitland, said: 'He has overseas experience from when he was in the US
for The Economist, and is fluent in German.
'The main thrust of our strategy now is to internationalise the
business,' he added.
The agency earlier this year struck a deal with Euro RSCG to roll out
the brand into the Euro RSCG Network.
