Financial Dynamics beats five agencies for CSAM job

Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) has hired City PR firm

Financial Dynamics following a communications review.

The FD team beat five agencies, including three-year incumbent Citigate

Dewe Rogerson, in a lengthy review process to secure the brief.

CSAM, which manages £191bn-worth of assets, turned to FD for

support and strategic counsel of its London-based global corporate

communications team.

FD will work on a remit to increase media exposure of the UK and

European institutional businesses.

CSAM director of global corporate communications Mark Dailey said:

'After a month-long review process that involved six financial and

corporate PR firms, FD was the preferred strategic partner to help take

the CSAM communications effort to a new stage.'

FD joint head of financial services Andrew Waterworth leads the account,

reporting to CSAM vice-president of global corporate communications

Caroline Chartier.

Waterworth said: 'It is remarkable what CSAM has achieved in building a

£191bn global asset management business in just over five

'Part of our task will be to help communicate this achievement together

with CSAM's competitive advantages in research and investment process to

UK and international clients,' he added.

Commenting on reasons for the communications review, Chartier said:

'It's a policy of the firm that we review all our activities on a

regular basis.'

She added: 'The brief concerns strategic advice, but it also involves

day-to-day media relations and raising the profile of CSAM.'

The PR review began in June, just before a number of restructures in the

Credit Suisse group.

CSAM is merging with Credit Suisse First Boston and the group's

financial services unit is merging with Credit Suisse Private Banking to

form two divisions instead of four.
