Public Affairs: The Week in Lobbying

The AAT, the professional body for accounting technicians, is seeking a public affairs agency as it moves to a campaign-based way of working, which may see more than one public affairs agency appointed. The AAT currently uses Linstock Communications and Markettiers4dc for PR activities.

Edinburgh Napier University has released two tenders: one for digital marketing, film production, graphic design and art working services; and another for international marketing, PR and public affairs services.

Victoria Tate, the co-founder of Open Road, has stepped down from her day-to-day role as director. She plans to spend more time with her family, but will remain a shareholder in the agency. It is understood that from September Tate will work in a consultancy role for a client, although she declined to give further information about the role.

Dunkin' Brands Group, the US-based parent company of Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, has announced that Cicely D Simpson has been promoted to the position of vice-president, government affairs. Simpson joined Dunkin' Brands in 2008 as director, federal and state government affairs.
