R-M brings in two recruits

Reynolds-MacKenzie has hired Nita Ares as director, head of UK operations from Biosector 2, where she was a senior consultant. Jennifer Garratt has also been brought in as head of R-M's European operations, after leading Burson-Marsteller's healthcare team and overseeing the agency's key global and pan-European accounts.

Tudor Reilly is providing £10,000 worth of consultancy support for free to the Alkaptonuria Society (AKU) as part of its healthcare heroes of the year programme. AKU is a patient group that is seeking a cure for the genetic condition, which leads to severe joint pain and early onset osteoarthritis.

Wild about Beauty, the new cosmetic range created by TV presenter Louise Redknapp and make-up artist Kim Jacob, has appointed The Communications Store. The beauty firm's products launch in Debenhams and House of Fraser in late September.

MSD and PatientsLikeMe have joined forces to gauge the impact of psoriasis on patients. Their website has an active community of psoriasis patients and will work directly with MSD's clinical researchers and epidemiologists to analyse psoriasis patient-reported data.
