Stripe Communications has been called in for a six-figure piece of work covering a number of projects under the ‘Greener Scotland’ umbrella.
The work is set to last two years and will cover the Greener Together, Eat in Season, Food Waste, Home Energy, Active Travel and Fuel Poverty campaigns.
Working with key stakeholders and organisations, the agency will focus on promoting a message of empowerment for groups and individuals to make the country more environmentally friendly.
Juliet Simpson, MD of Stripe Communications, said: ‘This is at the core of the Scottish Government’s purpose and has the potential to change attitudes and behaviour for future generations.
‘The overarching theme is about being greener together and making sure people recognise that by doing small things and working together we can make a big difference.’
Though a number of the projects will run concurrently at different stages of the two-year process, Stripe has initially been handed Eat in Season as a first campaign.
The agency will look to improve awareness and media relations will focus on educating people about Scottish produce, with an app already launched listing seasonal recipes.
Scottish Government comms and international marketing manager Clare Smith said: ‘The appointment of Stripe to Greener Scotland will support us in delivering an ongoing, targeted consumer PR campaign to help raise awareness and encourage behavioural change.’
