The IPC homes title Livingetc is being redesigned and expanded
editorially as part of a planned investment programme.
The three-year-old magazine is to have a new lifestyle section and will
seek to move away from studio shots to feature more from 'real
environments'. There will also be more use of big name photographers and
Suzanne Imre, Livingetc acting editor while Jane Bruton is on maternity
leave, said the changes would appear progressively from September to
'We recruited a lifestyle editor a month ago and she will recruit an
assistant. She will cover subjects such as food and travel. The thinking
is really to develop the magazine to its next stage,' said Imre.
'Our readers are very literate, we need to keep moving, it is a natural
progression,' she added.
The magazine is also changing its cover and flatplan, with all the
houses that it features to run together in one section.
