Hermes is owned by the BT Pension Scheme and has £29.3bn under management. The firm is now looking to build its portfolio of assets from external sources and has taken H+K on to support it through this growth period.

The agency won the account via a competitive five-way pitch and the account will be led by Ben Curson, MD of H+K’s financial and professional services team.

H+K will look to raise awareness of the business among the national and specialist investment press as well as develop a wider understanding of the firm’s 14 investment boutiques amongst institutional investors and key opinion formers.

Asmita Kapadia, global head of corporate comms at Hermes, commented: ‘We look forward to further developing our communications strategy with H+K, as the business progresses in the next stage of growth in both the institutional and wholesale markets globally.’

Curson added: ‘Working with Hermes Fund Managers is a fantastic opportunity for us and one in which we believe we can make a difference.’

Hermes was established in 1983 and has offices in London, Boston, New York and Sydney.
