Paul Farrow joins Coutts in September to take on the newly created role of editor, products and services comms, reporting to head of corporate comms Susan Tether.
Tether said: ‘Paul brings extensive, relevant industry experience to Coutts at a time when we are investing in the growth of our business and, in the UK in particular, preparing for regulatory change.
‘His depth of personal finance knowledge, direct and proven experience of our industry and strong editorial background will be a terrific asset to our business.’
Farrow will work with the segment heads within Coutts’ products and services division to provide guidance on all editorial output, focusing on ‘balanced, transparent, market and investment commentary’.
The appointment comes as Coutts prepares itself for adviser charging, ahead of UK regulatory changes. Since April this year, Coutts has made 14 senior appointments in the products and services team, both in the UK and Asia.
Farrow is currently responsible for editing the Telegraph Media Group’s personal finance section including The Daily Telegraph’s Your Money supplement, The Sunday Telegraph’s money section and the Telegraph Media Group’s Money website.
Farrow was voted journalist of the year by the CFA Society this year.
