Public Affairs: The Week in Lobbying

Fishburn Hedges is understood to have won the brief to handle Jaguar Land Rover's public affairs work.

Hanover previously handled the Tata Group-owned vehicle manufacturer's lobbying brief. The pitch process is believed to have included MHP, Maitland Political and the incumbent.

Lexington has recruited Gabriel Abulafia as a director to head up its planning comms team in London. He will work closely with Paul Boyfield, group property director and head of Lexington North, to provide a full-service UK offer to property, planning and regeneration clients. Before joining Lexington he was a director at Green Issues Communique.

The Whitehouse Consultancy has appointed two members to its team. Ben Rhys Davies joins as a junior consultant and Chris Jenkinson as a monitoring & research consultant.

Rhys Davies has worked as a researcher to Duncan Hames MP, while Jenkinson served as researcher to the Liberal Democrat health team in the House of Lords.

Scotland's Colleges, the organisation that promotes the further education sector, has appointed Pagoda Public Relations following a fourway pitch. The agency will provide public relations and public affairs support.
