Phipps PR has been taken on as the retained agency of Australian
winemaker Cabonne, ahead of the firm's first moves into the UK market
later this year.
The firm, listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and the ninth largest
wine producer in Australia, is to introduce its Little Boomey line in
Sainsbury's stores. The product launch will be followed by the
introduction of the premium Reynolds brand at a later date.
The account is led by Phipps director Nicky Forrest, and will feature
media work and consumer sampling to promote the range, which is produced
in the Orange region in New South Wales, near Sydney.
According to Forrest, the area is being widely tipped as the 'next hot
area' for Australian wines.
Other Lewis technology clients include Thus, which spun out of Scottish
Power in 1999.
