PUBLIC SECTOR: RSPCA loses head of press Morrissey

RSPCA head of press Charlotte Morrissey has announced she is to

leave the charity after eight years. Morrissey, who joined as a press

officer before being promoted to head of press in 1998, is to become a

freelance consultant based in Dublin. At the RSPCA she heads a 22-strong

team, including ten regional press officers. She reports to director of

communications John Rolls. The communications department at the charity

is more than 100 strong, including public affairs, fundraising, and

publication staff. The RSPCA is looking to replace Morrissey.
