HBL Media to run a media training scheme with PA

The Press Association has linked up with a PR agency to provide a

media training service.

HBL Media, which already trains senior staff at the Bank of England and

the London Stock Exchange, will use PA's broadcast studios as well as

arranging meetings between PA staff and its clients.

The deal was organised by Steve Levinson, HBL founder and former PA and

BBC economics correspondent, and PA head of broadcasting Peter

Wallace.

Lindsey Kennedy, HBL senior account manager, said: 'It's important to

clients that they realise the importance of PA in journalism and this

provides a useful opportunity for them to see the newsroom and meet

journalists.'

HBL was founded three years ago and specialises in financial and

technology PR. Its client list includes brands such as Nokia, Barclays

and John Lewis.
