Clare Lucraft has been appointed as the head of internal comms at the BBC.

Lucraft is taking on the role, having spent four years as a freelancer. Before this, she was group head of internal and change communication for Cadbury Schweppes. She replaces Andrea Gwilliam, who left in January.

Kindred's former managing director Laura Oliphant will be leading the newly created Stand Agency as MD. She is joined by two ex-Kindred colleagues, Rebecca McLeod and Francesca Rivett-Carnac, in the venture, with McLeod as director and Rivett-Carnac as associate director. As well as its core team, Stand Agency will work with a group of associates.

XpertHR has carried out a survey that revealed half of recent pay settlements in the public sector have led to staff receiving no wage rise. The study, which covered 1.6 million council workers and more than 200,000 doctors and nurses, looked at 29 public sector pay reviews due in April.
