Lindt calls on Clarion Communications ahead of split with Be More

Chocolate giant Lindt has called on Clarion Communications for PR help, as it emerged that it would no longer use the services of Burson-Marsteller agency Be More.

Clarion will now be leading efforts to promote the brand and build engagement with consumers. The brief is also thought to cover trade work.

PRWeek reported in February that Lindt had called in Be More, Burson-Marsteller’s consumer arm, after beating three other agencies to the brief.

The project included work around the Easter celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of its iconic bunny.

However, Burson-Marsteller has confirmed that it will stop working with Lindt by mutual agreement at the end of June, after the conclusion of current live projects.

Clarion Communications was brought in this month following a pitch process and is thought to be working on a retained basis covering a range of Lindt’s brands.

Lindt, which has also worked with Publicasity on a project-by-project basis, had not responded to requests for comment at the time of going to press.
