Harper stood before the Commons political and constitutional reform select committee last Thursday to discuss the progress of his lobbying consultation, in which he referred to the CIPR's 'five-page' definition of lobbying (PRWeek, 27 April).
CIPR CEO Jane Wilson subsequently wrote to Harper to complain that 'he may have incorrectly informed the committee', stating that the definition was only four lines long.
She added: 'It is a shame you felt the document was not in the spirit of the consultation.'
