MEDIA: Frame replaces Carlyle as editor of Express Life

Lorna Frame, former Daily Record assistant editor, has been

appointed editor of the Daily Express Life section.

She replaces Rachel Carlyle, who has moved to The Daily Telegraph

Magazine as commissioning editor.

The Life section covers health, fashion and family. One of Frame's first

acts has been to focus Monday's pages purely on alternative


Between leaving the Scottish newspaper and joining the Express, Frame

worked for nine months as a freelance.

Carlyle will be responsible for commissioning across the board on the

Telegraph Magazine. Deputy editor Will Ellsworth-Jones said he expects

her to bring 'new ideas and new writers' to the title.

She replaces Louise Carpenter, who will begin a five-month sabbatical

next week.
