FTI Consulting has opened an office in Mumbai. The launch marks FTI's second office in India after New Delhi, and extends the firm's footprint in the emerging markets where it now has ten offices across the BRIC economies.

The Mumbai Strategic Communications practice office will be led by Amrit Singh Deo, who recently joined FTI Consulting as a senior vice-president.

The Innovation Group, which offers software and services to insurers and the associated fleet, automotive and property sectors, has hired Bite Communications to establish and communicate its story across the UK, US, France, Germany, Australia and South Africa.

Palaedino Group, a Geneva-based asset management firm, has called in Broadgate Mainland to manage its PR. The agency will work on Palaedino Asset Management, Alix Capital and Swiss Precious Metals. The account will be led by director Mark Knight.

Molins, the UK-listed engineering group, has given its retained financial and investor relations account to MHP Communications. The agency will look to raise the profile of the firm among key audiences, including shareholders, the City and financial media. Andrew Jaques, chief executive, financial and investor comms, will lead the account.
