Lingerie and erotica chain Ann Summers has restructured its
internal PR function, promoting head of PR and marketing Rebecca
Franklin to the newly-created post of marketing and business development
Another internal promotion sees PRO Delia Bourne succeed Franklin in the
lead PR role, overseeing a team of three, to run the day-to-day press
office and internal communications.
Bourne admitted that as part of her work she would be looking to link up
with third-party brands for joint promotional work, following the
success of existing work alongside lastminute.com.
Franklin, who joined Ann Summers as head of PR and marketing in August
1998, now oversees the press office and marketing departments for both
the Ann Summers brand and the Knickerbox chain, reporting to chief
executive Jacquelin Gold.
