iLuv calls on Clarion Communications to spread word in UK

iLuv, maker of accessories for electronic giants including Apple, Samsung and Kindle, has called on Clarion Communications in an attempt to break the British market.

The consumer campaign will see Clarion, which won the brief following a pitch process, driving awareness of iLuv.

This will involve a programme of events, product placement and social media support.

Christian Corney, buying and marketing director at Harvard International, which exclusively distributes iLuv products in the UK, said it picked Clarion because of the ‘insight’ it offered into its ‘target market.’

‘Working in partnership with them will help us deliver on our strategic plan and build further on the existing success of  iLuv in the UK,’ he added.

iLuv sells a range of products, including iPad speakers and mobile phone covers.

The Clarion Communications team will be led by board director Shelley Wyatt, with the agency given a one-year contract with a view to reassessing it in 12 months.

Clarion Communications MD Amanda Meyrick added: ‘iLuv is a well known brand in the US but currently has low awareness in the UK. We will focus on getting iLuv on the radar of UK media and influencers and create strong consumer engagement, and increase awareness of the brand.’
