Garrard quits AMV for board director appointment at FH

Fishburn Hedges has appointed Sue Garrard, a senior board director

at sister ad agency Abbott Mead Vickers, as a board director.

Garrard will move across in September from her post at the Omnicom-owned

ad giant. Having begun her career as a civil servant and worked on the

privatisation of British Gas in the early 1980s, Garrard has been at AMV

since 1991, working on accounts such as Walkers Crisps and Wella.

Fishburn Hedges chief executive Neil Hedges said Garrard would 'add

weight' to the agency's consumer marketing expertise and creativity

across the range of its services. 'She is also expected to strengthen

our ties with our advertising parent company,' he added.

Garrard explained she had been attracted to FH because of its

involvement with public affairs and focus on strategic planning.
