Capital Communications MS&L set up for PR and IR

Three investor relations and City PR experts have joined forces to

launch a financial communications agency with backing from global PR

network Manning Selvage & Lee (MS&L).

Richard Campbell, formerly Citigate Dewe Rogerson corporate PR head;

Nick Lockwood, ex-Hogarth associate director; and Steffan Williams,

previously Thomson Financial/Carson's TMT practice head have named the

firm Capital Communications MS&L.

Based at MS&L's London office, Capital is the network's first financial

PR and IR brand in the UK, operating within its global corporate


MS&L's stake in Capital marks its third financial PR investment in a

year. The firm, part of the Bcom3 group, recently bought

California-based Pondel Wilkinson and recruited an IR team in New York,

led by former NYSE managing director Richard Simonelli.

MS&L London CEO Jackie Elliot said that the venture 'filled a gap' in

the firm's offerings.

Capital MD Williams said the agency would initially share MS&L

resources, but added they will be recruiting sector specialists over the

next year.
