Argyll boosts food and leisure offer with Brook buy up

Technology specialist Argyll Consultancies has bought Brook Public

Relations in a bid to boost its offering in food and leisure.

Brook, which specialises in the food, leisure and pharmaceuticals

sectors, will be absorbed into Argyll's PR consultancy Kaizo.

Rosemary Brook, who founded the company seven years ago, will join

Argyll as a director, with special responsibilities for crisis and

issues PR.

She said all of Brook's clients - including Johnson & Johnson, Egg, and

the Dairy Council - had agreed to move to Kaizo.

Brook's five staff will leave the company's Notting Hill Gate offices,

when the lease expires in two weeks, and move to Kaizo's Oxford Circus

Roughly 60 per cent of the acquisition price will be paid upon

completion, with the remainder dependent on the retention of clients who

have transferred over the next two years.

'Because we've tended to specialise in areas like food and leisure and

Kaizo has specialised in IT there's been no client conflict,' she said.
