Opinion: Letters of the Week - Decisiveness, openness and presence are key to leadership

In highlighting the importance of authenticity and decisiveness, Danny Rogers has put his finger on one of the key conclusions of our study ('True leadership is about decisiveness', Opinion, PRWeek, 23 March).

Namely that after open and transparent comms as the number one characteristic of effective leaders (on 69 per cent), come three action-oriented leadership attributes - taking tough decisions, handling crises calmly and leading by example (all on 68 per cent). The overall formula for leadership is decisive action, open comms and personal presence.
