Rare Earths Global has called in Abchurch Communications to provide comms support around its forthcoming AIM listing in London.

The firm is looking to raise US$50m (£32m). The business specialises in the extraction, separation, refinement and trading of rare earth elements and oxides.

Croda InternationAL, the UK-based chemicals firm that entered the FTSE 100 this month, has brought in Pendomer Communications to handle its financial and corporate comms.

HeadLand Consultancy advised the winding-up board of Landsbanki Bank on the £1.55bn sale of Iceland Foods. HeadLand provided strategic and tactical comms advice, as well as media relations support throughout the sale process, which began in 2011 and saw several parties bid for the frozen foods retailer. Landsbanki sold its majority stake in Iceland Foods, together with fellow Icelandic bank Glitnir, to Oswestry Acquico, a firm owned by Iceland's senior management team.

Clare Murphy-McGreevey has joined the FSA as a media relations manager. She was previously a media relations manager at the Investment Management Association (IMA). Before the IMA, McGreevey worked at Penrose Financial, now MHP Communications.
