The Department of Health has launched a tender process for advertising, PR and social marketing around its HIV programme, which has particular focus on targeting specialist groups. The wide-ranging brief may be appointed to a single provider or one that can sub-contract services.

Communications Management has been called in to work with Universitas 21, a global network of 23 research-led universities, to support the international promotion of a study into differing systems of support for higher education around the world. Communications Management was selected after a competitive tendering process and the work will be led by MD Justin Shaw and principal consultant Tim Blanchard.

The Mendip District Council-produced freesheet Your Mendip is to be published twice a year rather than three times. Mendip is proposing to use the money saved - around £15,000 - to employ a new comms assistant under the government-sponsored Modern Apprenticeship Scheme.
