Healthcare: The Week in Healthcare - Inventiv in senior VP hire

InVentiv Health Commercial has recruited Mark Archer as senior vice-president of European operations and development.

Archer joins from pharma services provider Quintiles, where he was vice-president of global business development.

Ferno, the leading manufacturer of medical equipment to the emergency services, has called in Green Communications to manage its PR and social media marketing. Green is charged with raising the profile of the firm in the UK and developing a social media strategy that helps Ferno connect with new audiences online.

Aurora has appointed Burson-Marsteller healthcare director Rachel Terry as director. Terry had previously worked at Solaris, Pan Communications, GCI Healthcare and LoweFusion Healthcare.

Sanofi has launched the 2012 Patient Group Bursary Scheme - the second year it has run the programme. Sanofi claims that patient groups will have a more important role than before in championing the needs of individual patients and driving up the quality of their care.
