Phone giant cuts team

Everything Everywhere has cut its comms team by a third, as the firm shifts resources to focus on network services.

Britain's biggest mobile operator has reduced the department from 38 to 26 staff, partly through redundancies.

Director of comms and corporate affairs, Stuart Jackson, said the new structure would allow the company to focus on 'coverage and service quality'.

Those leaving include former head of public affairs Richard Rumbelow, who has departed to 'pursue other opportunities'.

Everything Everywhere confirmed that GolinHarris, Nelson Bostock, Weber Shandwick and M&C Saatchi PR would serve on its roster of agencies, as revealed on on 5 March.
