Harrison Cowley has been appointed by IPC Live!, the exhibition and
events arm of publisher IPC Media, to handle consumer PR for three
events taking place across the UK.
The HC team reports to IPC director of exhibitions and events Stephanie
Grice, who worked with the agency in her previous role as director of
events at G&J Publishing, hiring HC to work on the Prima Baby Show.
The appointment was made without a pitch, and is the first to be made by
the IPC division, which launched in February this year with Grice's
HC associate director Nigel Sarbutts and account director Gill Vosper
will head the account.
The brief initially encompasses three events to take place between June
and October this year: 19 magazine's 'Gorgeous Roadshow,' the Essentials
and Family Circle magazines' 'Inspired Roadshows,' and the 'Woman & Home
Vosper confirmed that 'on-going discussions' were taking place
concerning future events planned by the publisher, with HC keen to be
involved with further events in this vein.
HC will focus on regional media relations to support efforts being made
by the magazines themselves to elicit interest among their

the magazine brands as part of a 'new media-neutral strategy'.
The appointment is the latest in a spate of wins for the consumer
agency, led by CEO David Heal, who won briefs to handle Lyons Coffee
(PRWeek, 11 May) and Babycham (PRWeek, 27 April) in the last two
