DIARY: PROs would work as dancers and zoo keepers

PRWeek's world-renowned annual salary survey habitually throws up a

few interesting titbits, and so it proved when this year's results

flooded in.

After polling an unhealthy number of PR employees, it was when asked

what they would be doing if they were not working in PR that a little

light was shed on their psyche.

For reasons of anonymity, Diary is unable to attribute the responses, so

we shall leave it to our readers to speculate as to who among us

genuinely believes that an alternative career in erotic dancing was

theirs for the taking, but for the call of the press release. Also

revealed are a number who proclaimed they would simply 'sleep', while a

desire to wash up must drive those who wished to own a bar and a 'tea

shop'.

One individual would seek to be a hairdresser, six opted to work in

massage parlours, while another respondent wished to be a zoo keeper.

But perhaps the most touching was a heart-felt admission of one

individual who could envisage nothing but suicide.
