It's easy to let your imagination run away with you upon hearing a
rumour that two students are getting up to something rather unusual in
their bedrooms. Yet even the most hardened hack would be taken aback at
the following behaviour.
Endre Johansen and Matt Woolridge, two students from Leeds Metropolitan
University, have shunned the union bar to set up their own agency -
Priceless PR - which currently operates out of their student digs.
The decision - inspired by a desire 'to get more work experience in PR',
according to Johansen - sees the duo burning the midnight oil as they
combine their studies with running the business.
Having already acquired a roster of five clients - including a Norwegian
financial advisory firm who are using Priceless to launch in the UK -
the lads are keeping their options open for continuing with the
enterprise after graduating.
However, they have not abandoned all thoughts of following the
conventional route into PR, with interviews with bigger agencies
pending. But Johansen added 'any job at account exec level is going to
be pretty boring compared to this'.
Too right. Bet they don't have beds in their offices either.
