Netgear hires Berkeley PR to promote lifestyle credentials

Global networking company Netgear has called in consumer PR support to highlight its lifestyle credentials.

The company hired Berkeley PR after a pitch process thought to have included Bite Communications.

Bite Communications currently handles the company’s b2b PR, having bagged the account in February 2011.

The company, which manufactures internet routers for homes and businesses, has charged Berkeley with drumming up interest around its new products.

Netgear UK retail director Rob Wells said: ‘We want PR to elevate our consumer products to the next level, to target key press, and national and lifestyle titles.’

The account marks a series of consumer wins for Berkeley with GoApe and Baby Sensory hiring it for their lifestyle accounts.
