Chelgate recruits ex-Citigate boss to head financial

Reputation and relationship management specialist Chelgate has

hired City PR expert Leo Cavendish - ex-Citigate Communications

chairman - to lead its financial offering.

Cavendish joins as the agency's first executive vice-president -

financial, with a remit to head the division.

Chelgate chairman Terence Fane-Sauders said he wanted the standard of

its financial service to match the agency's other sectors, including

corporate PR, B2B and public affairs.

Reporting to Fane-Saunders, Cavendish has a remit to strengthen the

company's global positioning in financial PR, particularly targeting

pan-national accounts.

Cavendish was a director at Bankside Consultants, before which he was

founding chairman of Citigate Communications and chairman of Streets

Financial Strategy.
