Staffordshire County Council is tendering for an agency to work with tourism body Destination Staffordshire.

The agency contract, worth between £150,000 and £300,000, will run for an initial three-year period, beginning on 1 July 2012. Destination Staffordshire promotes and co-ordinates the county's visitor economy.

Demco Europe, a company that specialises in the design and furnishing of libraries and educational centres, has called in EMPRA to promote six of its education brands.

The specialist education PR and marketing agency will work with Demco Europe's 11-strong in-house team to develop a PR strategy across both consumer and business media.

The National Apprenticeship Service has launched a marketing campaign to promote apprenticeships to employers, young people and parents. The campaign features six apprentices from luxury car manufacturer Bentley, insurance broker Bluefin, BT, builder Jelson Homes, housing association Incommunities and SEC Recruitment.

Hertfordshire County Council is to hold a tweetathon from noon on Monday (20 February), when users of social networking website Twitter can follow a typical working day in the life of the council.
