Lewis wins pitch for software firm Cognos account

Hi-tech agency Lewis has won a pounds 150,000 account with global

business software company Cognos.

The win followed a 12-month pitch, which involved Harvard-Centro,

Edelman and Weber Shandwick. Lewis replaces seven-year incumbent,

Insight Marketing and Communications.

'Cognos is considered the world leader in its field,' said Lewis

vice-president of operations Ilona Hitel, who will lead a team of four

and reports directly to Cognos marketing-communications director Cheryl

Hamer-Liles.

After reporting a record performance last month, Hitel claims this

account win is further proof that Lewis is bucking market trends.

'Against a backdrop of redundancies in bigger-named agencies and gloomy

IT sector news, we have been going from strength to strength,' she

said.

The agency has also recently been appointed on a pounds 250,000 brief by

web hosting company Attenda, and has won an account with IT firm Onyx

for a pan-European roll out.
