The City agency has appointed to its board Hilary Tuppen, an existing partner at Tulchan, and private equity specialist Hamish Mackenzie.
They replace Cohn & Wolfe founder, former UK CEO of Burson-Marsteller and international president at Edelman Alison Canning, and former Boots finance director Howard Dodd, who have both stood down from their longstanding non-exec roles.
Robert Sutton, chairman of Tulchan Communications Group, said: ‘We see a strong independent board that both challenges and supports the partnership, and ensures good governance, as being an important part of Tulchan. With Hilary's knowledge of the business and Hamish's experience we will have a blend of skills and experiences to draw upon.’
For the past five years Tuppen has served as the agency’s ‘practice partner', conducting annual client reviews as well as being a member of its remuneration committee.
Mackenzie has more than 20 years’ experience of investing and managing investments in Europe, North America and Asia. He started in private equity with Charterhouse & Private Equity in 1989, moved to Candover 1997 and to PAI in 2003. He has also served as a non-exec for Kwik-Fit and United Biscuits.
