INTERNATIONAL: McDade to head H&K healthcare worldwide push

NEW YORK: Hill & Knowlton has handed its top global healthcare and

pharmaceutical role to Paul McDade.

McDade replaces Shellie Winkler to head the international practice,

based in New York.

He joins from Ruder Finn, where he was V-P and director of healthcare

and looked after clients including Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson and

Novartis.

At Hill & Knowlton, McDade reports directly to Howard Paster, worldwide

chairman and CEO. His aim is to boost the healthcare practice from

outside the Top 10 to Top 3 worldwide.

Part of his remit is to develop strategy and recruit globally to build

up the worldwide workforce, although no figures could be confirmed.

Prior to Ruder Finn, McDade was Edelman Healthcare senior V-P and

earlier on in his career he was director of public affairs for the New

York State Society of Anethesiologists.
