O2's parent company Telefonica is on the hunt for an agency to handle PR and public affairs activities for its new global business Telefonica Digital. The remit will include building awareness of Telefonica's digital strategy, establishing its credibility and changing perceptions of Telefonica as only a telecoms company.

Revolver has been hired by Scottish Game Jam, the Scottish strand of annual gaming event Global Game Jam, to provide the event with PR, social media comms and media outreach services. The event, on 27-29 January, asks teams across the world to create a computer game based on a specific set of themes.

Edelman has snapped up The Carbon Trust's PR manager Nick Hay as head of cleantech. Hay's previous roles include associate director at Midnight Communications and technology roles at Weber Shandwick, Edelman and Brands2Life.

CCS Insight, the mobile analyst group, has appointed Harvard PR as its first PR agency. Harvard has been briefed to raise the profile of the brand with businesses and support its expansion into new markets. CCS, whose clients include Orange and Sony Ericsson, has also asked Harvard to raise the profile of its management team.

Content & Motion has extended its EMEA network of independent social PR agencies to Switzerland by joining forces with PR agency Coundco. Coundco has offices in Zurich and London and clients include Victorinox and WWF.

Bluwan, the mobile company, has hired CCgroup as its international PR agency. CCgroup will aim to build its international market presence. The company is an offshoot of French electronics firm Thales.
