Brunswick has hired its first marketing partner to help push the
profile's brand in overseas markets.
Rachel Melsom takes on the newly-created role from her previous position
as senior business development manager for cable firm ntl.
Reporting directly to founding partner Alan Parker, she has a remit to
manage and co-ordinate marketing across the firm's offices in the UK,
New York, Germany and Johannesburg.
A spokesman said: 'Brunswick has not needed to focus on marketing in the
UK, but expanding overseas is a different ball game. The firm wants to
be seen by international firms as the expert on hostile takeovers and
The firm has plans to open more overseas offices in the States,
continental Europe and possibly Asia.
- Brunswick has joined forces with blue-chip client Cazenove to back
online venture Cantos Communications, launched last week. The service -
run by Parker's sister Lucy - provides company news to institutional
investors, analysts, the media and fund managers.
