The move comes only two months after the merger of Band & Brown and sister agency Brando to form Citizen Brando in October. Band was given the position of chairman at the newly formed agency.

Band will remain as as non-executive chairman of Citizen Brando.

Based in the UK, Berlin's website states that it aims to ‘bring down the walls surrounding communication’.

The venture does not describe itself as an agency but as ‘a collective of highly experienced, self-employed PR and marketing people who collaborate over client projects’.

The ‘collective’ is asking for PR agencies to join its roster, stating that it designs ideas for clients in the same way that architects design buildings – ‘leaving others to actually build them’.
