Brands2Life will start working with EMC on 1 January and will initially focus on supporting EMC’s PR, executive comms and social media activities in the UK.
Matt Buckley, senior manager, EMC EMEA communications, told PRWeek: ‘The appointment is part of a brand new comms strategy that will take us forward, initially, for the next three years.
‘Our move to hire a new PR agency is to align our comms with the company’s aggressive three-year growth plans.’
Buckley added: ‘We’ve already made some moves into social media with a presence on Twitter and Facebook, and Brands2Life is going to help push that further.
‘The main aim is to maintain and grow our footprint in public relations and increase our voice in the industry.’
The company started the pitch process back in September to find an agency that will 'go beyond traditional PR'.
The incumbent of ten years was Golin Harris and the agency will retain EMC's EMEA PR account.
The agency team will be led by Brands2Life director Armand David, who will report to Buckley.
Part of the remit will focus on raising the profiles of the EMC management board, in particular that of MD James Petter.
