The agency was sold to the then Borkowksi PR, now Beige PR, in 2009.
Brown left the agency last week in order to set up his own agency, which he plans to make a more global offering. He is the early stages of talks with other marketing services agencies to create an alliance and is planning to launch officially in January with four staff members.
He said: ‘Now is a time in which everybody is scaling down their operations, not only fiscally and resource wise, but also in their thinking both creatively and strategically… I am kicking the hatch open and sticking my head out to look at the horizon.’
His move comes eight months after Mark Borkowski left his eponymous agency after becoming disillusioned with the traditional agency model. He now runs his own consultancy Borkowski.do.
