Golin/Harris gets a first brand offer with Springpoint

LONDON - Golin/Harris International has added Springpoint - the brand consultancy behind leading names such as Vodafone and Unilever - to its global network.

The deal, for an undisclosed sum, provides Golin/Harris with its first

specialised brand offering.

According to Golin/Harris chief executive Rich Jernstedt, one of the

first priorities will be to embark on a targeted expansion plan for

Springpoint.

He confirmed the company will be looking to open offices in Hong Kong

and across the US within the next 12 months, followed by South America

and Europe.

London-based Springpoint, which is headed by co-founders Fiona Gilmore

and Mark Pearce, will continue under the same name and trade as an

autonomous business, avoiding any client conflict issues.

Springpoint joins Golin/ Harris's growing network in the UK, which

includes public affairs, financial and corporate PR firm Ludgate, which

merged with Golin/Harris last June (PRWeek, 23 June).

Gilmore co-founded Springpoint in 1991 and has since grown the agency

into a 50-strong team with clients including soup firm Campbell's and

the British Tourist Authority.
