Flack: (Saving) on expenses - Turners of Harborne, Birmingham

Reviewer Pete Hitchman, account director, food and drink, Willoughby PR.

What is it good for?

Serving Michelin-starred cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere at a reasonable price, Turners of Harborne offers the opportunity to impress special clients without coming across as lavish or expensive. It provides the chance to take clients away from the hustle and bustle of city centre dining - perfect for a more relaxed meeting that is sure to score brownie points.

Signature dish

The menu is very seasonal and changes constantly, but game and fish feature heavily throughout the year. The fantastic rabbit hotpot and the sea bass with candied orange are out of this world.

Who's the boss?

Richard Turner, one of three Michelin-starred chefs in Birmingham.

Tips please

Book well in advance, especially on a Friday, and make the most of the dessert choices. The cheese board is something to behold and if chocolate tart is on the menu, don't miss out.

What's the damage?

The three-course lunch menu costs £34.95 including a half-bottle of wine.

Turners of Harborne, 69 High Street Birmingham, West Midlands, B17 9NS. 0121 426 4440.
