Northern Profile secures remit for NFU Countryside

Northern Profile (NP) has been appointed by the National Farmers'

Union (NFU) to promote NFU Countryside, its division dedicated to all

country lovers, not just farmers



In the past, PR for NFU Countryside - which was set up in 1992 and has

70,000 members - was co-ordinated by NFU Countryside's marketing

team.



A four-strong team is in place, headed by NP chairman Helen Hargrove,

who reports to NFU Countryside brand marketing manager Atul Sedani. NP

won the account after a seven-way pitch.



Julian Christopher, NP account director, said: 'One of the main parts of

our work is to promote the website, which is giving up-to-the-minute

information about where you can and can't go due to the foot-and-mouth

crisis.'
