Futurestep is a major part of US-listed recruitment giant Korn/Ferry and is wholly focused on mid-level recruitment.

The company was founded as a Korn/Ferry subsidiary in 1998 and now works with a third of Fortune 100 firms, with more than 800 employees in 20 countries across the globe.

The firm selected Bell Pottinger following a five-way pitch to run a global PR and social media programme.

The agency will run a global press office for Futurestep and look to gain the firm a stronger voice on recruitment and talent management. Bell Pottinger will also run a strategic thought leadership programme and focus on engaging HR and recruitment professionals online via social media channels.

Senior counsel and global strategy will be provided by Bell Pottinger business & brand MD Kevin Read and the team will be led on a day-to-day basis by Louie St Claire, MD of Harvard PR – better known for its consumer technology work.

The team reports to Marisa Kacary, Futurestep’s global vice-president of marketing.

Kacary said: ‘Bell Pottinger provided us with a range of high quality and well thought through global campaign ideas that will make a significant impact with the media and third-party influencers – and strongly support our marketing and business development efforts.’

St Claire noted that Futurestep had an ‘enviable global footprint, impressive breadth and depth of expertise and recognised consulting capabilities’.

He added that the agency would look to highlight Futurestep’s ‘unique perspective’ on recruitment and talent management and help it continue to grow market share’.

Korn/Ferry was founded in the US in 1969 and has annual revenues of more than $750m.
