Public Sector: Uni in social media brief

The University of Reading has called in Sociagility to advise on its social media strategy.

The consultancy project will be led by Sociagility co-founder Niall Cook. He said: 'Our overall brief is to help the university improve its social media profile and performance in the context of the more competitive higher education market in the UK and internationally, resulting from the Government's move to a fee-paying system.'

Cook has previously worked as worldwide director of marketing technology at Hill & Knowlton, and is the author of Enterprise 2.0: How Social Software will Change the Future of Work.

University of Reading director of development and external affairs Shaun Horan said: 'Sociagility will help us improve our in-house capability to engage positively with students, alumni and partners via social media and networks.'
