Positive Profile recruits Howard

Financial and corporate PR consultancy Positive Profile (PP) has

hired ex-Grandfield financial services expert Dudley Howard.

At PP, Howard takes on the role of director, reporting to managing

director Henry Gewanter.

PP director Jonathan Rush said part of Howard's remit is to secure new

business: 'We have very high expectations of the type of client Dudley

will be attracting to the firm.'

According to Howard, his aim is to help take the agency forward in the

financial services area using his international PR experience to gain

cross-border work both in Europe and the US.

Howard was made redundant by Grandfield last month.

According to Grandfield executive director Charles Cook, Howard's role

was cut due to the merger of the financial and professional services

teams. The merged unit is now headed by executive director Robert

Rice.

Howard had joined Grandfield three years ago to jointly head the

financial services section alongside Fiona Munro. His most recent role

was MD of the financial services group.

Howard's departure follows just a month after two of Grandfield's key

directors, Stephen Benzikie and Michael Henman, left to bolster Edelman

PR's financial team (PRWeek, 2 February).

- Grandfield has acquired strategic communications practice RMD

Communications, which boasts clients including TotalFinaElf and Octagon

Energy. RMD head Ray Rafter becomes deputy chairman and executive

director at Grandfield.
