PROs will be able to monitor clients' press cuttings while on the
move following the launch of a service that brings up-to-the-minute
details of coverage to mobile phones.
Clipserver, the UK-based electronic media monitoring company, has spent
two months developing the system to provide SMS (short message services)
capable of delivering media coverage alerts, news from newswires and
hardcopy media straight to mobiles.
The service sends a headline, source and date to mobiles, allowing users
to decide whether or not to request the full story.
'The idea is that we can send it to clients' mobiles and they can act at
the time stories break wherever they are,' said Clipserver CEO Gary
The service is aimed at financial clients, such as City PROs, IR
professionals, stockbrokers and City journalists.
