The third of The Guardian newspaper's standalone website networks
was launched this week.
EducationGuardian.co.uk, which joins existing ventures catering for the
paper's readers in the social sector and the media, attempts to embrace
all aspects of education, from higher institutions down to schools.
The latest site, which comes under the Guardian Unlimited banner, will
be edited by Lee Elliot-Major, with Donald MacLeod providing a link
between online and print.
MacLeod edits the higher education section of The Guardian's Tuesday
supplement, as well as being executive editor of the website.
EducationGuardian.co.uk will contain a global daily academic news
digest, research findings, top job moves, career advice, a database of
education departments and links for the sector.
